Gondhoraj Lemons from Kerehaklu

Gondhoraj (গন্ধরাজ) quite literally translates to “King of Fragrance.” These Gondhoraj lemons are grown naturally at Kerehaklu, Chikmagalur, amidst coffee, fruit trees, and a thriving forest canopy. They’re celebrated not just for the gentle tartness of their juice, but also for their distinct floral aroma. My favourite way to use them is to zest their skin into a box of sugar that then goes into my bakes, and the juice is saved for my food.
